Missing My Grandpa
My grandpa was an unforgettable man in my life. He influenced the way I think, act, and behave. He taught me ethics, manners, and some aspects about life. He always thought of others before himself and always striving to do the right thing for his family and friends. In all he was wonderful man who has a high standing and a great heart.
The thing about my grandfather that many admire was that he was a general. He didn’t become this overnight but through determination, endurance, and love for his country. When he started in the Chinese Red Army he came from an economically poor family with very little financial backing yet he became a brilliant. He came before he graduated from high school. Even though he had all these difficulties his parents taught him that only through hard work and determination he cam become great. After he listened to this advice he set his mind straight and strived to become the best could. After many years he achieved the rank of general and gained the admiration of many. He led many soldiers successfully in many battles and gained him renown. He is a truly determined, hard-working military genius.
He also has a kind heart towards many including his family which he places before himself. He does what he can to see they live happy life and offer support and love to them. If there were anything that was within his power to give to his family happiness or success he would do it. He was very selfless and tries to provide the best for them.
My grandpa loves me dearly, and educated me in such a many ways so that I can become successful like him. He taught me many virtues that will make my life easier and better. He also taught me to enjoy life to its fullest. He taught me many of the things I’d find useful later such as an interest in art. He was as close to a father to me as I can remember.
Over 1000 people attended his funeral and that shows the multitude that he has touched. He has touched many, inspired many, and was close to many. His loss was a grievous shock to us and it brought sadness, but his legacy still lives on in those who remember him and keep him and his ideas close.
